100 years of women’s right to vote celebrated in Iceland

Because Icelanders are celebrating 100 years of women’s right to vote. The Icelandic government urges employers to give its staff the day off from noon on Friday June 19 2015. The Directorate of Customs supports equality, therefore the main offices will be closed on Friday. The offices on Tryggvagata are open until 18:00 on Thursdays throughout the summer.
